Martha's Cottage, our agency's transitional housing program, launched in 2011 through a grant from the Department of Justice.   Designed specifically to meet the needs of  older individuals, this no-cost confidential transitional housing program has expanded housing options for older adults seeking safety in Maine.

New Martha’s Cottage Locations!

 

In 2018 EAIME received a grant to purchase 2 additional homes for transitional housing, one if Midcoast Maine, and one in Northern Maine.  We recently completed renovations of both of these properties and are now ready to house clients. See a gallery of images from our cottages here. 

 

Welcome our new Transitional Housing Coordinator, Emily Berrill!

 

In July of 2021, we hired a new Transitional Housing Coordinator, Emily Berrill, to design and implement a targeted outreach and education strategy to increase awareness of our Martha’s Cottage Program and to develop lasting partnerships with social service providers to create a strong support network for clients living in our cottages.
