We will celebrate the opening of Martha's Cottage on May 5, 2011 at the Hilton Garden Inn, downtown Portland.
The Board of Directors of Elder Abuse Institute of Maine will officially launch the opening of Martha's Cottage on May 5, 2011 from 5-7PM at the Hilton Garden Inn, downtown Portland. The evening's activities include a Silent Auction to benefit the Institute, the premiere showing of the documentary video of the making of Martha's Cottage and special recognition to our community partners.

Each year in Maine, approximately 14,000 seniors are abused (based on 5% of the population 60 years of age and older). It is projected that in five years this number will double. This does not include financial abuse or neglect.
