EAIME Program Manager, Linda Weare and Board Chair, Rick Mooers were interviewed last week by Maine Public Broadcasting Network to discuss the newly launched Transitional Housing Project, funded by the US Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women.

In the majority of cases, the perpetrator is a family member or caregiver. Often this person is the primary connection the elder has to the community. By reporting abuse, the elder stands to lose his/her sole support.
