NCEA profiles EAIME
The National Center on Elder Abuse is a national resource center dedicated to the prevention of elder mistreatment. As part of their public awareness initiative, NCEA produces and disseminates a monthly, electronic NCEA newsletter to highlight promising practices, emerging research and state and federal news.
The Elder Abuse Institute was profiled in the October - November 2009 issue of the newsletter.

Currently almost 16% of Maine's population is 65 and older.
It is estimated that by 2030, that percentage will increase to 22%. About 60% of our elders are women.

December brings our annual fundraising appeal! In order to raise money to continue our efforts to provide services to older victims of abuse, we have launched our annual fundaiser with a request for donations.
