Renovations are complete and Martha's Cottage is now a safe haven for elder victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking.

The Elder Abuse Institute has launched a new series of educational materials to raise awareness of elder abuse called The Poster Project.

This year, the Elder Abuse Institute of Maine would like you get involved in Maine's work in helping to prevent elder abuse.

The Elder Abuse Institute will host four Elder Abuse Prevention and Intervention Train-the-Trainer workshops for long term care facilities.

The National Center on Elder Abuse is a national resource center dedicated to the prevention of elder mistreatment.  As part of their public awareness initiative, NCEA produces and disseminates a monthly, electronic NCEA newsletter to highlight promising practices, emerging research and state and federal news. 

The Elder Abuse Institute recently received news that the agency was awarded $570,000 over three years to develop transitional housing for elder victims of domestic violence, sexual assualt and stalking through the US DOJ Office on Violence Against Women.
