About us
The mission of the Elder Abuse Institute of Maine is to develop an
integrated and comprehensive community system that meets the needs
of elder abuse victims, including older victims of domestic violence.
The organization was founded as a community coalition in 1995.
Since that time the Institute has sponsored statewide conferences, provided train-the-trainer and workplace training workshops, produced public service announcements and established support groups for older victims of domestic violence.
